Just grow it! 8|

Autumnb.jpg

You can grow a stool or a table frame like these.

Fruit growers have been training trees to shape since we don't know when, and furniture has been made of wood for thousands of years, so why not train trees to make furniture? I've proved that it can be done. All you need are three saplings, a plywood jig, instructions and a little patience.

It takes about five years

You need a suitable plot with enough space to allow access to the growing stool from all sides, and three young saplings (known as "whips") of a suitable species such as Sycamore.

grow1b.jpg

The easily assembled plywood jig, or drawings from which you can cut your own, will be available soon.

grow2b.jpg

It comes flat packed, complete with instructions. Accurate planting of the saplings is easy with the help of the positioning guide, supplied with the kit.

grow3c.jpg

They are trained to shape as they grow, being held in place temporarily with plant ties. When thick enough, the saplings can be gratfted together to form the joints of the stool frame The jig top panel keeps the horizontal sections of the sapling flat and correctly spaced.

In about five years the frame should be sufficiently robust to allow you to harvest it and to add the top of your choice.

find that products of cats like very difficult to be life-like leh

of all the meow meow things i've had, none really resembles a real cat

only cartoon cartoon lookalike nia

how about this one?

or how about a kneading cat?

an idea of how tall my local boy can be

or the greedy faces of two kittens
