jajoba123 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 Hi, moved into my new unit just right after they finish painting. Is been 2 months now and 1 months later started experiencing fever, dry throat, sneezy nose. Bcos i stay alone so windows was kept closed and no time to open for airflows. Now, bought 2 air purifiers. The difference i experienced is cleary dry throat go away after i stay in my bedroom with air purifier on for say after 1 to 2 hour. Now am panic and thinking to get Interior Air QUality consultant to check where is the source of the ordour. Am using Nippon Vinilex 5000 for walls and Matex for ceilings. I do have vinly floor in living room and bedrooms but is click system no glue. Kitchen carpentry using laminate. I suspect is the paint vocs but any kind souls can offer advice? Now what i can only do is on my fan, 2 purifiers 24hours and leave all windows n doors open.
Arfan 64 Report post Posted March 26, 2017 I think maybe its a the new paint smell also. Put a bowl of charcoal in the room, usually charcoal will absorb the new paint smell very fast from what i know

If not, I don't think you should exclude vinyl flooring as the cause, even if it's click system. Vinyl flooring comes with VOC emission. Check whether your vinyl brand comes with certification on this.
