crackrawksteady 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 I recently went to scout for a few contractors for my new BTO. Eventually I found a contractor who gave quite a reasonable quote. His attitude and responsiveness is up to my standard and most importantly he gave good advice to not overspend on the unnecessary stuffs. I have also went to one of his projects and overall satisfied with the works However, I found out recently (Google his company) that his company has been suspended by HDB for applying a renovation permit on behalf of a non-registered company. Now I am thinking if I should still engage him. What are your thoughts on companies like this? Thanks.

swirl360 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2017 I would suggest being upfront with the contractor, i.e. asking him what went on to assess his response to it. If he is honest about it then I will continue with him since the issue doesn’t look indicative of any potential workmanship issues or being complained about. Otherwise best to be wary of people who may appear to have ethical issues. It may surface in other areas during the project
