I requested for drawings but the ID incharge said they'll only provide drawings after commit(payment/deposite made) Is this the norm? I just felt i can visualized better with drawings.

We are writing this review as a thanks to Summit Design Studio & our ID & his team of people.

As many has reviewed, *** does not fail to uphold his reputation by being a very patient,helpful and responsible ID.
Our renovation (4-room HDB) started at the start of Sep and was completed within 1 month. Thanks to the designer, during this timeframe we only went down to our flat 4 times during working days for decision making purpose (carpentry, false ceiling etc).

Like what pinklicious has mentioned, *** always kept us updated on the progress of the renovation with pictures via Whatsapp. This really puts us at ease and let us know exactly what is happening without the need of going down to the unit every now and then.

There was some minor hiccups during the renovation process, however he is able to take care and resolve everything allowing the renovation to progress as planned. In fact he still managed to complete the renovation ahead of his schedule.

After-reno service remains good, as we notice some issues which we contacted him and he get his men to settle it promptly for us.

I would say *** really does his job well, from initial design stages to realizing the works in real life. He covered everything well and allowed us to have a smooth and headache free renovation process!

I am new here! Been browsing through the forums for suggestions on ID firms and ID. Really thanks to all the forummers here for your feedback and recommendations! I have just confirmed with Summit Design yesterday.

Met William thrice before signing the contract. Recalled that when we first met him,he appeared serious and I felt the meeting was a little formal=p Subsequent meetings were great as I realised he's actually quite friendly and started cracking jokes with us William has been very responsive, fast to picking and replying my calls and SMSes. When we first got his quote, he did not push us for an answer even though we took 2 weeks to contact him. Heh felt bad that I make changes on the layout plan multiple times but he has never showed any signs of frustration! As a result of those changes, certain parts of my plan is actually quite thick with the blanko here and there =p He's also never afraid to tell us when he felt that our designs are not practical. Appreciate that he has not been pushy and gave us reasonable quotes. Not saying that the other IDs we have approached are not good, but importantly is the chemistry you have with that ID. So those were the reasons why we have decided to confirm with Summit.

Can't wait to start the reno in May and to see the final outcome of our home! As of now, am really looking forward to receiving the 3D drawings from William soon!

Yes I guess so. After confirming with my ID, he told me he would send the 3D within 2 weeks. Perhaps you could request to see similar 3Ds of the designs that your ID has done before?

hi i myself had house renovated by Summit Design. My ID Joewi is the boss of the company. He didnt charge me any GST. I just had my Tampines house renovated a month before. Its really strange... you mind PM the ID who handled your case? I am most willingly to check it out with his boss. ???

Recently just sign with SDS....NO GST.
So far he has done a good job, very accommodating and great design ideas.
Will be handing over the key back to me next week as promised.
