I was watching Parental GUidance from Mobtv.. then the green walls struck me!

I really liked the green colour..... i told my hubby that I wan to paint the wall and ceiling leading to rooms with that green.. his reaction was :dancingqueen::dancingqueen: !!

Anyone painted green on your walls?? Any pix to show here?? I am trying to convince my hubby that it will turn out nice with the resort feeling that he prefers.

well, more background info..

I was intending to have more neutral shades in the living room and dining area.. the furniture that we liked r mostly dark brown colour.

The wall that is going to be green will b at the dining area, at opposite to the living room wall where the TV is. That green wall will extend to the study room and the 3 other rooms.

Do u think green wall will fit in nicely to build a resort feel house?

Yup...i agree! Green will certainly look nice and like diva79 said, it should be in the same colour family as your browns. Lime green will make it look modern which is not what you want to achieve. So go get green with brown undertones. Plus a few plants around your house will lokk fab!

well, there r many diff. shades of green. IMHO as long as not neon bright green u did fine :deal: Try lighter shades of green or dirty green if yr partner dun too fancy abt green color. When match properly with the home deco it will turn out beautifully :seeya:

chk out nippon paint demo website for more info':

http://www.nipponpaint.com.sg/colour/colour.htm

i kinda like the celery green that Nippon All-in-One offers.. :good:

I oso like Latte from Nippon All-in-One !!

Thats Bryan Wong's fav colour in Home Decor Survivor 2 :)

Hey, finally found someone who is into GREEN too... :)

I am getting my apt in July this year & have decided to use GREEN as the accent color for my living & dining area (they are linked). You can aim for differnt types of feel :

1) Contemporary Scandinavian - Apple or Celery green with white & pine furniture. Very chic & modern. (Very like the one you see in Parental Guidance) Not easy to maintain if have kids in the house.

2) Resort & Ethnic - Olive Green walls with dark brown or cane furniture. Decorate with balinese type of wooden accessories, warm lighting & plants to create resort look.

3) Sophisticated Victorian - Dark Green walls with victorian & beige furniture. Very classic but i think too heavy for apt living in Singapore.

These are just some ideas for you to bounce around. Any additional inputs, anyone?

Kris, when are you going to make the final decision on your wall color? Can send me a pix?

after the flash on my camera, the green color looks like beige... so cannot show until i managed to get my camera to reproduce more accurate colors..

btw the colors u see on internet and nipponpaint/ICI website may not be accurate also cos of different monitors(they produce different color effects grrr..) best if u go to those hardware shop and get the color catalog from them... the colors in the catalog are much more accurate than the ones u see on internet...

My apologies, didn't know that Multiply doesn't allow hotlinking. Anyway, you can see the pictures at my wife's Multiply site.

I think Spectrum Red is too bright for a MBR, which was why we went for Plum Rose. Initially we wanted to take Hibiscus also. :sport-smiley-004:
