hmm then can i know what is the cheapest range ???

depending on the kinda tiles you are looking at

prices range from 60-70c all the way to double digits in dollars, from ceramic to homogeneous to natural stones

the popular range these days are homo... the bulk of it are from china... prices can vary from $1 to $3-4, depending on the quality, color and brand

for fairly good quality, there are a wide variety if brands and colors for those in the $2.50-$3.30 range... warpage for kitchen and toilet tiles are minimal due to the dimensions... common ones are 300x300 and the biggest ones are about 450x450mm

You dun have to worry much about warpage in this case :P

so look at your budget... go do some survey at the tile suppliers for the price and range you can select for your budget then select the tile model for your ID to buy for you... that way, you will know if you are overcharged :P

Floor tiles, how to decide?

Floor types

we doing laminted flooring for our 3 bedroom

marble for living room ...

then the kitchen n toilet tiles, our contractor called us to find like $2-2.20 one leh ....

the cost of hacking n laying tiles for our 2 kitchen is ard $2400...

then be4 that we went to find an ID firm (we decided not to use them in the end) and he was quoting like $4200 for 2 toilet using $3 tiles... but does not included hacking but they are overlaying instead .... then still got GST ....

My ID quote me $2.50 for toilet wall (12"x18")+ floor tiles(12"x12"), but for the floor tile, we choose $2.80. Since he said OK as long as not $3.00 :notti:

For the Kitchen wall tile, we request to get cheap tile, he quote $1.80(12"x12"), then we choose $2.00 at no extra cost

For the bath floor tile, he said 12"x18" is not advisable cos the water will trap ? And also the ceramic vs homogenous floor tile, homogenous better cos ceramic more slippery?

has anyone heard of epoxy flooring for toilet floor? heard that it is anti slip, no need to hack the orig tiles plus comes in different textures and colours and is very durable.
