How To Remove Dirty Yellow Stain In Electric Flask?

Recommended Posts

any idea how to remove the yellowish/brownish stains at the outer part of s/s kettle and pots after using for quite sometimes? !!

Make a paste with baking powder and water and rub it on the stained spot. You can also sprinkle baking powder inside of your oven or microwave oven after cooking and once it has cooled down with it off with wet cloth. Another cheap, easy and effective way to go about doing your chores.

For Corning ware, use a diluted solution of bleach to remove burnt or food stains. If you are not comfortable using the stronger clothes bleach, drop a baby bottle disinfecting tablet into the pot with water and let it sit for a few hours.

For normal stains from food, bleach method works best (above post). Tried it many times always works.

For electric kettle which is black, heat (no need to boil) a pot of water with about 20% vinegar. Leave it for 10 minutes. You will be surprised how new it looks after that. I have personally tried this myself. Almost threw away my old electric kettle earlier and have even bought a replacement but now it looks like new.

I bought this packet (box) of stuff from daiso to clean my hot water flask and it's amazing! Has 6 packets inside the box, all for only $2!

Erm, its a blue box and has a picture of a hot water flask on the outside

baking powder does wonder. you can put in baking powder, pour hot water in it. leave it for a few hrs and clean it. it can clean stains in porcelain, or microwave oven safe cups etc.

vinegar and lemon is also gd cleaning agent because of the acid being released during the process and its definitely safer than bleach coz these are cook wares that are used to cook food so better to be safe by using edible food items to clean cook wares.
