vineyard 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2008 To access Margaret Drive, come out from our MSCP, turn left at the T-junction (beside the church/mosque). Keep right and then turn right at the X-junction (dont go down to the tunnel towards Farrer), after turned right, keep left and turn left on the 1st left turn. U will be able to access Margaret Drive via thir route without having to pay ERP. Keep driving straight after you hit a T-junction @ Tanglin Road. Turn right to access Redhill/Leng Kee. Keep right and U-turn at the X-junction (dont go down to the tunnel towards Farrer). After U-turn, keep left and turn left towards Jalan Bukit Merah (Queensway). Head straightdown till you hit the current CPIB, turn left and you will hit Leng Kee Road. But not too sure if the ERP gantry applies to both directions (Jalan Bukit Merah). If applies, then just pay 50c rather travel longer distance and wasting petrol. Plus the bus lane is very strictly enforced; there is always a cisco cameraman standing outside the shell petrol kiosk, opp the new queesnway neighbourhood police centre cum fire station. Have not been to the shop yet but have seen their website at http://www.forestwood.com.sg/. Everything looks so gorgeous but as mentioned, everything premium comes at a price. I will be going down to another shop specialising in country kitchen at Anchor Point, which is near our place.My parents place also looks quite country...all thanks to me! When they reno their place a few years back, I convinced my mum that the kitchen must look cosy, so she'll feel more at ease cooking for us! But I won't be going to her carpenter, cos workmanship is not very good.Hey, if you could get some contacts from your parents, it will be much appreciated! Ya, forestwood have some nice furnitures, nearly bought a dressing table from them but they did not have the right dimension. In the end, got one from Cottage craft. Used to take this route to my office in Alexandra and it can take up to 30mins. The u-turn queue is very long. Now I take bus and it is faster. Both AYE and major roads leading to BM are with erected with ERPs now. Either pay 50c to go through or spend additional on your petrol. Best solution: take MRT or bus if your office is accessible by either train or direct bus. My office in Tiong Bahru, so that MRT from CW to TB, only 78c per way. Less than 10mins reach liao. Just that you need to find the right cabin to enter, to prevent being "giap" by the doors.Driving = spend $ on interest rates, petrol, carpark, servicing, insurance, depreciation, ERP, CISCO, washing and polishing ..... why dont we form car pool here? Those gg to west can share one, those gg to Tanjong Pagar or Shenton can share another one, those gg to outside CBD can drop off at a central place.Is workable if someone does the planning. hehehe ...
