wilson 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2009 Hi again everybody,.... I have an old house, where the floor and wall tiles are dirty because of nobody washing them for many years. This house has been uninhabited for many years too. I am trying my level best now to wash, acid-wash, and even chemical-wash (with PYE CLEAN) the floor and wall tiles, but it looks to me like the stains are still not going away. Guessed I am about to give up soon, and intending to just paint over the tiles if possible. I preferred clear color, hopefully may make the tiles look a bit glossy after painting. Any tile paint out there to create this effect ? And anybody tried before please ? Secondly, since these tiles were not installed by me, I am not aware of their origins. So how do I tell if the tiles are of homogeneous, or ceramic type please ? Thank you.
