newaisa 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2016 Hi Guys, Was changing the power socket and light switches for my place. Everything went well, except when I was disassembling one of the light switches, I realized they are all the same color (too late, cos I have removed the connections, wrong move I know) Moving forward, how can I be sure which wire is Live, Neutral, Ground. My apartment color coding goes this way for other socket (L-Yellow, N-Black, G-Green) Whereas for light switches, they are all using yellow color wire. Please suggest if you have any idea as this is the first time I encounter such problem.

Sumith 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2016 Well one way would probably be a continuity short circuit test to detect your wiring. Is it concealed?
skb 2 Report post Posted August 28, 2016 How many gang and way light switch is yours. 1 way switch should be easier to test, use a test pen to test for "live" wire and "no live" wire. The rest should be quite straight forward with some trial and error.
