anatel 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2016 Hi all, I am interested in a private condo unit. It is currently on sale by 2nd owner. 1st owner previously removed and thrown away the bomb shelter door and converted it into a room! (Originally, It is already bigger and has high ceiling compared to a normal bomb shelter). Do you still advise that I buy that unit or is there possible legal recourse? If I am still keen in the unit, what should i do? Also, does anyone know the price of a replacement metal door? Thanks!
therat 18 Report post Posted June 26, 2016 suggest you check with SCDF directly. https://www.scdf.gov.sg/content/scdf_internet/en/building-professionals/cd-shelter/household-shelters.html For purpose of quality control in the manufacturing of the HS doors, SCDF and BCA are working closely with Spring Singapore (previously known as PSB ) in implementing the Product Listing Scheme (PLS) for HS doors. Note that only approved HS doors (for which BCA-issued HS door reference numbers would be given) are eligible for the PLS which is administered by Spring Singapore. anatel 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2016 Thanks @therat for directing me to scdf. Just an update, I didn't contact scdf but info is avail on scdf website for suppliers of home shelter doors. Called one of the suppliers and apparently it depends on the door frame or they may not have the doors. Have to confirm with condo management what type of frame.
