ch0ryi 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2016 Hi, I am budgeting for my retail shopfront setup and is considering putting in place a false ceiling. Understand that it is much cheaper to use ceiling panels rather than plaster ceiling. Could anyone advise on how much different the costs will be? Sim Ker Sing 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 Depending on the type of ceiling panels used. They are generally cheaper because plaster ceiling requires painting works and demands better worksman-ship. It also depend on the height at which the ceiling are installed and also if there are any odd corners. I am currently doing a retail shopfront too at Ubi area. The owner had decided to paint "Black" for the soffit and all exposed M&E pipes and services at 6m high. Of course it is highly dependent on the theme and feel that you want to achieve for your shopfront. For better budgeting purpose, you may wish to get free quotations from several renovation contractors. You may also contact me to view our current shopfront and for a better understanding, if you want. No obligations.
