We did not get the electrician to install the Elmark fans that we got from JB. The electrician shared that they had tried to install many JB Elmark's fan and it's always very wobbly due to the U hook for Malaysia kind of ceiling. Instead of paying them to do and in the end we get wobbly fans, he shared that one of the client actually got Elmark Singapore to install for her and bought the ceiling fan hook that is meant for Singapore kind of ceiling but he is not sure of the cost.

I called up Elmark Singapore and got them to come down to install the 3 Elmark fans instead! It cost $50 per fan and $30 transport charges. Optional items are the hook that was mentioned previously. It cost $45 per hook. The Elmark technician said that it is ok that we do not buy the hook but he said it will be wobbly as well due to the U hook.

We had seen friends who used the Malaysia's U hook and fhe Elmark fan was really very wobbly. Since it's for long term usage we decided to just purchase the local Elmark ceiling hooks. The fans are indeed not wobbly after the installation. Would not recommend getting the 3 tone LED light from Tampoi because though the fans does not wobble the light kit does! It is because that light kit was meant for ceilings and there's only 1 single hook support and the Elmark technician recommend us to change the light kit to something with more support so that it will be perfect.

Well, next time maybe! Since we already bought it we will just use it till it spoils. There are too many other things to spend on during renovations.

We totally have no idea what Hood, hob and oven to buy so just get one which is within our Budget. I am impressed with the hob because the salesperson demostrated to us and told us that it will not trap food debris inside the flame area thus easier cleaning. No need to clean so much of cuz I must buy! :sport-smiley-018:

I love your choice of tiles! I think its better not to mix in color into your hexagonal tiles as these will look dated over time. Simple and elegant is timeless!

The recommended gaps for laying tiles is 3-5mm otherwise there is risk of tiles popping-up due to temperature changes. These seems to be laid much closer (1-2mm?) but of course looks nicer as it mimics the way real wood planks are laid. Don't you or your contractor have concern on this? Other members who have done similar are welcome to share your experience.

Hello @Stream! Thank you!

Actually this does not come across my mind at all! This is our first home and we are not sure of all these. Contractor E/tiler did not mention about this. I have to check with them the next time I see them. I definitely do not wish to see my beloved tiles popping anytime soon :o

Hello @Changbp I do not have a picture of the hook before the installation but when the Elmark electrician showed it to me, the Singapore version of rod is much shorter than the "short" version of Tampoi's (Tampoi's sells a modified short version of the rod) maybe it could be one of the reason why it's not as wobbly. I'll take a picture of it the next time I go to the new house :)

@sganimefan I'll post up the pictures soon! The LED light kit that we got from Tampoi, according to the Elmark technician is not meant for fans. They are actually meant to be ceiling lights hence insufficient support for ceiling fans which causes the light kit to vibrate when used on ceiling fans.

Tampoi sells another kind of light kit which is meant for the Elmark fans but we did not buy that because the fans was bought some time back and at that point we are not sure if we want daylight or warm lightings hence we bought the 3 tone light kit instead.

Although the light kit that we bought is a little shaky but I think it's ok for us as long as it will not drop.

Thanks Reiken! I asked as I wanted to find out if the light kit that Tampoi sells for the fan 'wobbles'... Been to Phylux and am aware that their 'Aero' fan is in fact, the Elmark Aeronamics 23 that Renotalk members have been getting from Tampoi.

Thanks! Curious to see your photos of the Elmark Singapore U hook as well as the Malaysia U hook! Btw, do you know still have the packaging of the Elmark fans? I've heard that these are made in China, as compared to the Fanco Trinity fans which are made in Taiwan apparently, but haven't seen anything to substantiate this.

@lalashir love your choice of wall and floor tiles at your bathroom, turn out very well! We have very similar theme too, white, wood and cement. But adding in black to give a more maculine feel. =)

@sganimefan I didn't check out the manufacturing country and had threw the boxes away so unsure if the fans were MIC or not.

How much is Phylux selling Elmark Aeronamics 23? Just curious. :P
