Building A Wooden Dining Table

Has anyone build their own dining table?

Need advise on the following

1. What kind of wood is recommended?

2. Where to get them?

The wood items you can get at sungei kadut or jalan besar.

Use those hardwoods it better and more sturdy

You need not only wood but tools, skills and space.

After dining table completes, cool storage the tools? Above base on perspective being a typical singaporean living in HDB dwelling.

Hard to compare an apple to an apple in this sense.

But am sure the own-made one have high sentimental value. The one and the only in the world!

For me i would just buy the table, i am too lazy to build it, lol
