Old Tv& Radio Line Conduit In Living Room

Hi Brother & Sister

I just purchase a resale 4A HDB unit at Yishun . The renovation works is currently undergoing.

That is one "Eyesore" in Living Room , the old type of TV & Radio Line Conduit on the all as shown on the photo attached.

My ID contractor told me that it is against the rules to remove it. So.... Brother & Sister I am sincerely request for ideas to cover/remove/modify this old type of TV& Radio line ?

I think that can b remove, you call up hdb and check with them. As what I know they don't use the old conduit tv point anymore...

Already got offical reply from HDB, it is not allowd to remove the conduit.

2 Under the existing renovation guidelines, the original television points provided cannot be tampered with and must be left accessible for future maintenance.

3 We noted that the TV system provided in your block is a loop system. The removal of TV point could affect the TV reception of the lower floor units as well as the signal qualilty for the whole stack. As such, we regret to inform you that the TV point in your flat cannot be removed.
