nextstep's gone with Yale... was thinking of sticking with Samsung so that can use the same RFID tag for the gate.... Haha!

Why not? Remember I asked you the question of intentional break in versus opportunists breakins? I think the gate "could" be a tradition which are so used to and grew up with it that we expected to have it and feel uncomfortable when its not there. I have told my contractor to ensure space for gate is sufficient should I decided to fix it up.

Sapphire's case is because her gate is already installed la then doesn't make sense to remove it just to get out of comfort zone.. LOL

If you're installing a new gate I think it can be customised to incorporate the Samsung lock... but personally I think too sophisticated for a gate lock...

True true, most break-ins are opportunistic in nature rather than intentional but the gate does serve a purpose of extending the amount of time needed.. and for owner to react. That being said, when I'm home, I don't have the habit of locking the gate too.. oops...really cache 22 situation..nmind Ill think about it these few days..

Fair enough, bro. I have space limitations too in the form of gas pipe but what irks me the most is the ID failed to take into consideration of the gas pipe even though he has seen it from day 1. My fault too as I never noticed it from the diagram.
