He also mentioned that its better than supreme as it is chemical treated at the joints are unlike supreme and kronotex? velv 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 was looking for wood laminate and got caught in a sales talk on Excel laminate The tiles were basically from Thailand with mats from Germany. and the uncle strongly suggest we get the waterproof laminate (total protection against water and pest) claim that it is also a lot better from rest of the brands like Robina. . This Excel product you mentioned does not fall into the category of laminate flooring in the real sense, although it has a laminated surface. The core is not of wood fibre, but used a composition of synthetic materials mainly. This type of product is commonly grouped as Composite Board. It has high water resistancy, but it's composition puts it on the same platform as vinyl planks which means NOT ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY. Also, it is not clear who manufacture this product, and what are the "resins" that are used in the composition; are there any health risk? does it gave out toxic gas if a fire breaks out, any BCA approval for use in homes?
