I have purchase a Condo in 2014, that was the worse decision I have made. I lost my job after that, my parent contracted chronic diseases. Can I appeal to HDB to allow me to buy a BTO, and sell off my Condo after I gotten my key for my BTO? I can only sell off my condo in 2018, and I really wish to start a family and hence, getting a BTO will be the most affordable way for me. Please advice.

Actually best to find MP. Ask them write letter for you. The reply from hdb would be faster. The way some of the office there work is bo chup but got mp letter think they will take more interest liao. all the best bro.

U can still buy resale HDB w/o grant , no HDB loan.

This is an asset allocation issue.

It concerns personal preferences/life style choices/financial commitments/life priorities....

Am sure HDB will advise you to seek financial assistance, likewise from the MP.

For this I would advise you to look for the MP in your area. My and my husband income had reached the ceiling for EC but we could not afford a Condo. Citing family reasons, we went to see our MP, who wrote a letter to HDB to allow us to purchase an EC. All the best to you ya.
