Do You Change Your Old Pipes When Installing New Aircon?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I had a sys3 (3 bedrooms) + sys1 (living) from prev owner. It's about 10yr old.

Now thinking of changing my sys3 to sys2. My pipes are concealed and I have moved in for a yr already.

Wife thinks it's safer to change to new pipes, else later got problem. But some aircon guys who came to check says can use back existing pipes.

So anyone has recommendation whether to change or not? I'm not sure what type of pipes was installed 10 yrs ago...

I suggest you can ask someone for do pressure test and before to decide need or not need to change all.

Cause some concealed pipes & wire are use better one, then should be not an issue, just need to plug out old sticky gas 1st and turn over to R410a gas.
