Is cement screeding needed before overlaying new bto toilet floor and wall tiles?

Cement is needed while overlaying tile-on-tile. Bottom tile surface need to be roughed b4 applying cement.

Anyway, not recommended to do tile overlaying due to cost saving, particularly toilet flooring and interior wall.

I was told some chemical adhesive is sufficient?

No need. Overlay new Bto toilet floor and wall is nice if you got some space cash.

To summarise, overlaying 'saves' time & $ - it's a quick 'fix' solution to owner & contractor.

One would reap what he sows when time comes. When 'tide is low', ugly things surfaces.

Perhaps you can sell away before 'tide low'.

Whether chemical/epoxy/cement......doesn't matter....it is the 'overlaying' that matter.

Tiling is the most major item in term of reno..... measure twice cut once.
