doubleEM 4 Report post Posted July 27, 2015 Jame: there are a few variations to the additional cost but basic point across will be cost of tiling the home will go up if tiles are your choice. By how much will then depend on if you use contractors or designers as each will have to earn their keep for their biz.Alternatives then would be Vinyl tiles which is simply overlaying over the cement screed or laminate so play around with these. Perhaps tiles for main areas where cleaning requires heavy mopping and Vinyl or laminate in bedrooms where light mopping will suffice.Just some 2 cents worth.... Jame 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Hi double EMWhich is cheaper and good ?Thanks
doubleEM 4 Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Vinyl flooring will be harder and little more resistant to water and will not have the hollow sounds over years compared to laminate.Laminate will be good for budget but resistance towards water is less than vinyl and of course tiles. For exactly which is cheaper I cannot comment paiseh as we went for vinyl instead of laminate this time.

doubleEM 4 Report post Posted August 5, 2015 Hi doubleEMFor vinyl and laminate what the price different ? Is it a big gap ?ThanksSorry for late reply. Not too sure but I guess costing wise would go like this:Most Expensive - TilesMiddle - VinylLowest Cost - LaminateSo this is what I've experience and how I feel so it now depends on what you are looking for. Hope this helps.
