Frizbeez 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2015 Hi, my house is on renovation recently, sadly there were some measurement error by the ID and contractor, so our previous steel backsplash could not be reused.Currently we are very unhappy with our ID (*), as he is not trustworthy. So we decided to get a new painted glass backsplash for our gas hob and there are a few questions I want to ask:1. How much does it cost to install a 8sqft backsplash?2. Will a normal glass backsplash crack?3. Which kitchen specialist is popular in Singapore?
Colaxy 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2015 Hi Frizbeez,Maybe I can help you with a few of the questions you asked. Its not normal for a backsplash to crack even if you are using normal float glass and not tempered glass. The only way that it might have cracked is most likely due to 2 reasons. 1, When you are cooking, the flame from your stove is too strong and comes out from the side and directly burning the glass. Such concentration of heat will cost the glass to break. Another way is that when you are cooking your pot touched the glass. The heat from that will cost the glass to break too. 1 of the best glass suppliers in Singapore is 'A Plus Glass'. But if you are only going to do a 8sqft glass i doubt much supplier will take your job as the amount is way too small. Hope this answers some of your questions.
