Loving the new RT forums! So much faster and more intuitive!

Anyway, last portion of the house to be completed, my home office. I work from home so this is what I look at on most days. I still haven't finished with the shelves, but I suppose I'll never be done with them unless I travel.

HOME OFFICE PHOTOS:

IMG_5505_zpsj0fb8wae.jpg

It's a teeny room so I had to work hard to get everything in + not have it too crowded. It's also made up of moving pieces so that this room can become a nursery / toddler room if needed, or guest room, or just remain a home office for the husband and me.

The grey sofa is actually a sofa bed, which makes this into a spacious and functional guest room should someone come over. The side table you see in the pictures is the BEFORE of a DIY project which we never got around to yet. It will be marble top + gold legs. Haha!

The blue chair is a reading chair

Zooming into the area we have the shelves with spacious drawers for all my business folders / home bill folders + tech stuff, plus loads of space below for my law books, business books and printers. The top two shelves are for decor (since this is what my clients see on a call), but they're not quite there yet, I know.

I chose the wall decor because it was the cheapest but chirpiest option! Also, the Giroud jersey framed is signed by the player and has TO KARA on it.  This is my most prized possession, followed by my team signed ball, which I've yet to pump. HAHA.

Hey! Love this home- office. You see we cant have it all; because I have knocked off the bedroom for the beautiful dining table but that means when i work from home, I am always at my dining table. I haven't find space for my printer and all my stationery has no space to hide them. My dining table is always in a perpetual mess with tons of paper and laptop etc all lying around. :(

It looks pretty complete to me liao

Nice reno blog. Would you mind share where did you get your study room sofa from? TIA!

I got it from Groupon during a sale. I believe you can find the same one on Qoo10. It's called BLMG or something, grey sofa bed on Qoo10.

The sofa is very sturdy and quite comfy and useful, but the fabric rough. I usually use a fleece blanket over it!

Thanks! Hmm true also. Should've gotten 4R lor me. But no luck! :/

I understand that. Do you have a space for a credenza, or faux-denza (GORGEOUS) near your dining table that wall? Can put a small printer and keep all supplies inside. I used to have one at my rental!

Google Faux-Denza, LOTS of ideas even can build table!! Small unobtrusive one la!

Hey Sazeryn, the gold faucet is working great.

PMed you.

Hmm, you can use 65daigou to help you purchase it. They can guide you from beginning to end using Buy4Me option. I think the chairs worked out to be about $120 per piece after shipping...

Thanks for the reply. And finally i had made my first purchase from 65daigou. I tried small items first to see how fast is the shipping.

So glad I changed to the white bidet spray instead of sticking with my chrome one. The spray is very good!!

Rainshower is really like rain! I can "hear" the air technology working, it really uses less water to create the effect, even though it's 25cm wide. :) And the handshower part also very good quality. Super love!! Second happiest purchase so far from TB. Master bath one also.

Hi Kara, loveee your home! Tried showing my bf some photos of your kitchen and toilets (white with gold, so pretty ) & painted door/gate combo for inspiration previously but he decided it wasn't to his taste. :bangwall:

Anyway, could you please send me your contractor's details? And shun bian the number of Nic from Re*****z also, if it isn't too much trouble. Have been trying to hunt for t-blogs but there can't find any recent projects he did!

Thanks in advance :D

Hi Kara,

I've been reading your blog many months back. Just like a great drama, I always come back to read it again. :D Just like your writing style!

I've met up with Edmund last week and now waiting for his quotation for my 3 room flat. I did mention to him that I got to know him from you.

I wanted to thank you for having his contact at your signature. I can't see it now, did you edit them? But still thank you!

Hope his quote will be good. So I don't have to find other contractors.

Also wish that you will always be around Renotalk. I'm your fans la.. haha! :jammin:

Hi Kara,

Realised that some features (to be) of my flat (undergoing renovation) are very very similar to yours (gold/white/marble/cornice etc). In fact, my wife and I chose the same solid top!! I understand that preoccupation with the gold knobs and handles and how they add to the "look", my wife spent weeks hunting down the same!!

Thanks for this blog. It has been very useful and a source of many an inspiration.

I never remove leh!! Later I go check - must be the new version of Renotalk removed it. :P

You can also consider Nick from Renoguyz if you want more options. Both their prices are pretty good. :)

Thanks for the nice comment! My house is still a very simple Reno.

Haha, seems like this theme is catching on recently! When I started there was one other t-blog on it but now a lot of us have it! :)

Thanks for the kind words, hopefully it'll turn out awesome for y'all since it'll most likely be more custom than mine! Hehe.
