Renozilla 1 Report post Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) With the sliding door closed (sliding door is to keep our dogs out of the study, bedroom and walk-in wardrobe area when we are not at home) It also makes an interesting aesthetic and allows us to seperate the living spaces. Also helps us to segregate the air conditioning when having guests over.Study room hides behindWe are keeping things bare for now and will slowly decide what, where and how to add in new furniture pieces when we move in according to our needs. Renozilla 1 Report post Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) We have combined the space of the common toilet and yard toilet together. The common toilet now houses a small walk in wardrobe with the yard toilet's original entrance sealed off, we brought down the joining wall and have made the yard toilet the common toilet.Different states of opening for the walk in wardrobe/common toilet area. I call it the ninja room. We have left our wardrobe insides bare and will be using Ikea Stolmen post systems inside. All the way in is the toilet, on the side is the wardrobe.Master bedroom wardrobe. white laminates to offset the parquet flooring and our dark ash bedframeMaster bedroom toiletLooking forward to week 6! Relacker 1 Report post Posted April 3, 2015 Nice , i use google scketchup too for my first renovation, works great!I even did up some quick 3d models using Sketchup (http://www.sketchup.com/) with additional revisions along the way.We swapped the tv / sofa positions around after finding out most of the wind comes in on the main wall side. So a sofa there wld be most ideal.
Renozilla 1 Report post Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Took some time off today to drop by again... spotted some issues that we want rectifyingStairs got painted white, we had earlier requested for them to be left unpainted. This will need to be redone. Not ideal to have white stairs...Outdoor gate/fence not painted properly... looks like they didn't bother scrapping off or sanding down the old paint prior. Already peeling...Master bedroom with most things inside cleared Edited April 5, 2015 by Renozilla
Renozilla 1 Report post Posted April 5, 2015 Another look at our islandAfter much deliberation, we have decided to request for the wall ledge to be removed and we will buy a console to put in front of the wall. The ledge just looks... wrong...
Renozilla 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Collected this today. After over 3 yrs in the cupboard, finally took it out to have it framed (bought in Kyoto: http://ten-qoo-ann.jp/).*Found a pic of the shop in Kyoto, is a traditional Japanese style cloth print but done with a Disney motif. Turns out the colors of the shop and our new house have similar tones*Quality of getting it properly framed is so many times better than those from Ikea. (Which we have used alot for other prints. this required a custom frame cos of the unique dimensions) Nicely done though. (@ http://thianhwaart.webs.com/ )UprightedOnward Week 6!
