xinyi_reiko 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Hi xinyi, your flat looks good! So will you be changing your lightings? Cos it looks okay! Even the kitchen looks very new with glass door somemore! How much did you buy the flat? :cheers!Ya, lucky that previous owner maintain the house well. Nope will not change the lightings in living room, but will move to another area. I bought at 265k + 20k cash. Heavy investment sia.. Your reno also starting soon right? All the best! Hmmm, so hw did the previous owner counter the HHS problem, is that a curtain railing attached? The owner covered with curtains. I decided to paint it with 2-3 colours, in stripes maybe.. xinyi_reiko, probably u could install the string curtain.. as this will bring out the chic look of the plac.e..I have intention to have string curtain as a divider @ foyer area. So if place another string curtain there, might not look that nice.. More pictures to show...This is my ugly HDB toilet bi-fold doors. The previous owner did not change it.A picture that smooth minds.. hehe..View from my new flat...

Homeowner 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Lucky you. The house is already renovated very nicely and thus, you are spared the reno dust, inconvenience and stress! Think your place is also near ten-mile junction and the LRT station, right?

Homeowner 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Sigh...we paid $20k above valuation too. But, ours is NOTHING like yours. It's 21 year old; we need to revamp the entire kitchen and toilets...we're going to put up with the rest 'cos we don't want to spend too much. But, I'm POSITIVELY drooling over your windows and grilles and wardrobes that are still nice and white inside. Your bathroom look really cheery despite the HDB bifold doors. Maybe it's the colour. xinyi_reiko 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 I encounter some small problems. Need some advice. I realise a couple of window handles have drop off. Any idea where to get those handles? And the previous owner seems to lost the keys of window grills. They are still finding it. If really lost where can i get the keys? Please advice. Thanks. xinyi_reiko 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) Good news. Have decided to sign with Patrick from Ho Bee Renovations. Received the final quotation this afternoon and called to confrim with him 1 hour ago. He said can start anytime. I told him my planning is to start on the beginning of april. Will confirm the final date with him again, when my hubby selected a date. Both partick and ah keong are very experienced people. I believe the renovations will be on good hands. These are the things that we will be doing:- Construct fridge and washing machine base with matching tiles.- Display cabinate (without glass)- Construct platform @ living room- Remove existing platfrom in master bedroom - Custom made a TV console (width - 90cm, moveable type)- Change existing wardrobe sliding doors to aluminum sliding doors.- Painting (whole unit)- Chemical cleaning (whole unit)- Lay protection sheet- Move a existing light point- Install 2 new lighting points (Pending, patrick said need the electrian to see where they can pull the wires.) !! Very excited now. Edited March 19, 2007 by xinyi_reiko
