Basin Hole Too Small For My Water Tap

i bought my tap from taobao. when my basin delivered, i found tat the hole on it is too small to fit in the water tap.

Is it possible to modify the hole on the basin to fit the water tap?

Is it adviseable to do that? elsei have to buy no more tap and it will cost us double on the water tap.
