skoh 1 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 HiI am confused. My thots and views are that the wall and floor tiles should be aligned. However, was told that this is an old-fashioned way of laying the tiles. The reasons why the wall and floor tiles cannot be aligned could be due to the different sizes of the wall and floor tiles. Should this be the case? Can someone plse advise? Thanks!
bizkid76 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 So did u ask the ID what is the new fashion way of laying tiles? we would love to learn from that ID.Its common that floor and wall tiles cannot be aligned due to different size. There is a starting point to lay the first piece of floor tiles, the rest will continue.Same applies to the wall.Even if the tile is of the same dimension, the starting point of the wall and floor tiles is different, it could not be aligned too. However, if u insist all the tiles to be aligned, the corner of the tile, especially the first piece, could be not in whole piece. To me, these are technical issues.
