1.1m 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Folks ,I have got a resale 4 room. Was quoted ridiculously for the hacking of the toilets and Kitchen floor and wall tiles. 6K in all ( not to mentioned the living room ) Had decided to get vinyl flooring for the bedrooms and living rooms to save cost + quite nice and durable. However for the kitchen - we need to do an overhaul at minimal cost, considering overlay tiles to cut cost .Hoping to get some inputs on this option to overlay toilet floor tiles + Kitchen Wall tilesHouse is 10 years old and on the top floor 23th. lilian.quek 6 Report post Posted December 24, 2014 overlay won't be any cheaper... in fact the tiler told me that it's more troublesome to overlay cos must put more cement screed as the surface to stick on is smooth
benetay 14 Report post Posted December 24, 2014 Ya hence we didn't proceed with overlaying some of the tiles, it's just too expensive considering the area required.

(if its really only 10 years, its actually quite ok). Don't waste $.

Don't waste $..I can live with the kitchen by simply hving a stronger chemical wash. moreover, will redo entire kitchen. For toilets , its a " must " for us to revamp .. yes condition is acceptable thou .. so its much a personal choice
