Tre 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Hi all, been a long time lurker. Looking at all the great Reno designs as well as sharing by the knowledgeable folks here I'll be collecting my 2-rm bto soon and got a couple of quotations. Just like to share some details of my quotes and to get advice from the experienced ones here on their thoughts as well.Basically I'm looking to lower some costs as well as maintenance ie. easier to clean haha. So I'm not going with false ceilings, ceiling fan etc. I'm also thinking of not constructing a base for fridge & washing machine. Is that a good idea? However I've decided on using LED lights for all my lighting as they seem longer lasting & fuss free.Would appreciate if you'd let me know what you all think, and if there's anything else I should be considering. Thanks Btw I'm possibly hoping to do up my place to look classy and not too complicated haha. Saw this online & it's kinda what I have in mind.https://www.pinterest.com/Ssphere/design-singapore-homes-public-housing-hdb/Quotation Ahttp://www.renotalk.com/forum/gallery/image/8197-quotation1/http://www.renotalk.com/forum/gallery/image/8198-quotation2/http://www.renotalk.com/forum/gallery/image/8199-quotation3/Quotation B ($10k)Professional service:Consultation & design Space planning & 3DOn site supervision & project management Masonry works:1. benetay 14 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Looks expensive. Quartz and cabinet fabrication about $120 per feet onwards, might want to do more research in the forum about better Ids. Best to have all items broken down so you are able to compare Apple to Apple via feet run.
Randy 2 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 hi, I think is better for you to construct kitchen base. have feedback that it will help to last longer for cabinet. as for false ceiling, u can do without them to cut costs. experience and feedback from many of my friends and from some IDs, renovation package is just their marketing strategic. The add on from the package usually is much more expensive to cover back their earning. if you need more quote, can pm me for my ID contact. I engage him after meeting a fews other id. price wise is reasonable and service and workmanship is good.
Tre 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2014 benetay, thanks. Will check out and compare some more prices.Randy, yea was planning to do kitchen cabinet base. Actually was referring to not doing a base for the fridge, cos from what I heard is not crucial, plus next time if ever change fridge it'll be troublesome cos the dimensions might be different?Anyway, could you send me details of your id? Thanks!
