Hi, may I have the link to these?

Living/dining shelf with rollers, barn door

Bedrm cabinet & bedside table.

Like what your photo is, ordering from Taobao I got to keep my finger crossed too...hahaha

Hello! When I first saw this Tmall store, their rating was 4.8...it has steadily fallen since to about 4.4/4.6. I am most worried about these purchases. So if you can wait about a month, I can tell you more about their quality then. (It is taking them 2 months to fulfill my orders - bedside table, vanity, dining table and side board with shelves). These designs are from Restoration Hardware, one of my favourite stores in the US.

For both the barn door and furniture, they actually showed me previous pieces of furniture/doors they had done. The furniture store had a lot of wood to choose from and finishes. I figured I was saving a lot buying furniture made from real wood instead of compressed wood. Once again, fingers crossed.

Here are the links:

Vanity and bedside table: for these, I showed them pictures of the ones I wanted from Restoration Hardware, requested for colour and provided the dimensions. So they aren't even in their store. In case you are wondering, I use Google Translate for all my conversations with sellers (I'm a C5 for Chinese student) :P

Barn Doors and handle: Again, I told them what I wanted for the design (ie drew it out and took a picture).

Today, I went tile shopping after work and finally decided on bathroom tiles and kitchen tile. Going with the cement screed look. The tiles for the master bathroom looks very similar to the common bathroom actually. Just wanted them to be different (even that slight difference made me happy!) I didn't like any of the feature wall tiles and so decided to go without. I'll be leaving the pipes exposed and will paint them grey.

Also going for a screed look for the kitchen.

Then...I saw "white brick" tiles!! I've KIV-ed it to see where I can use them :) But they are stark white.

Hi Fingercrossed,

This also the floor trap that i'm aiming for :notti: but not for current house of course.

Been checking out all the renovation stuff and accessories online. You can find it locally too but price wise will be more expensive to get from TB.

For those interested, here is the site:

But not sure are they willing to sell direct to the consumer or we have to get through their retailers.

Hi, can you share which tile shop you went to? I've been looking for white brick tiles for a while. Thanks!!

Hello! We were at Lian Seng Hin (I think?) It is at Balestier...Same row as the Hafary Showroom. They are at one corner and Hafary is at the other corner. These are $5 for each rectangular slab (not sure what the measurement is) Sorry I can't be more helpful

Thanks much! We're doing this in our kitchen and tiles would make it a lot more cleanable - the alternative currently is craft brick with lots and lots of sealant...

I was thinking about it for the kitchen too...between the upper and lower cabinets. The lady boss said it's ok but harder to clean than non textured tiles.

Hi,

Did you place your tiles order from Harfary? If yes, what is your master bedroom toilet wall tile code? :) I'm looking for cement screed design too. . . but not sure what should be the tile to choose from :)

cheers,

Hello! No, I ordered from the shop a few shops down from Hafary at Balestier (corner shop at the other end) and they have quite a selection of cement screed tiles and cheaper than Hafary. The master bathroom cement screed tile name is Treviso Bianco (they had a sticker that said low stock)

Hi Fingercrossed

I've also purchased a unit with the exact layout except it's mirror image. Am cracking my head on how to design it. Im also very much in favor of a kitchen island. Look forward to more pics from you and hopefully can get some inspiration. Good luck!

Hi Fingerscrossed,

Did you buy the showerhead and mixer combo from TB ? Could you share with me the link if you did ? It looks good ! Just wondering how the piping is done. Are the pipes concealed ?
