Oscaroscar 1 Report post Posted November 4, 2014 Hi, I have a situation here. I have a contractor to install some glass work around my house. Despite asking for tempered glass material, I don't see the word 'tempered' at any 4 corners of them.I am concern of safety and quality as I afraid my contractor will short-change me with cheap glass instead tempered galss as agreed.Anyone can assist? zero313 2 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 I also have the same concern. Anyone can advise? Maybe pay for professional for assessment. Any contacts?Ask show supplier invoice/receipt or something to that effect? Doubt he or she will pay more if your concern is "short-change".
Oscaroscar 1 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 Yes. More concern of safety. Cos there isn't any 'tempered' sign or wording. Very worrying.
mummychua 4 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 i did question the glass supplier about the quality of their glass during my renovation period. all the uncle did was to hit the glass real hard (really very hard till the glass panel vibrates) using his fist, and the whole thing is still intact. well that put my mind at ease. but then i'm still careful with my 2 sliding glass. tempered or not it is still glass and there's always risk of it falling apart.
