Advise On What Kind Of Drawer Tracks To Use

Recommended Posts

Consider these 2 drawers:

http://excelhw.com.s...des-tracks.html

and

http://excelhw.com.s...-dtc-d1-mb.html

The first one has a weight limit of 25KG, whereas the 2nd one has a limit of 30KG. Apart from that, what other differences are there?

Does the 2nd one provide more stability and rigidity? Afterall, the base is still wood right?

I'd like to know is it worth paying almost 3x more for the 2nd option, which of course, looks better as the side panel appears to be metal, vs fixing the tracks under the wood drawer in the 1st option

It seems like you are comparing the price of a drawer system and a drawer track.

A drawer system comes in the form of an entire drawer minus the front panel.

A track is just a track.

Just call them and clarify.

Agree.. totally different

Really depends on your needs and wants as well as affordability. That's a personal choice.

Can also consider Rationell range from Ikea. Not sure whether lasting or not.. looks about same price
