Hi , wondering how many T5 led does a living room(3rm hdb) need, plan to do a simple reno on my living room. Thanks.

Hi Vuzu, are the t5 for t5 for your Cove light? If yes, the number you need is determined by the length of your Cove.

T5 generally comes in lengths of 1,2,3,and 4 feet.

So if your cove is 12 feet long, you would probably get 3 * 4 feet T5.

If I choose downlights for my living room, I probably need to install L box.

Buy T5 LED lights from online stores. They are 50% - 70% cheaper than the brick and mortar light shops. Some online stores offer very good quality lights at very attractive prices.

One light shop recommended LED strips instead of T5. The effect is better and the cost is lower.

yafen.sg has cheap and good LED lights, including T5 LED. I have not bought from her as my renovation has not started but her store is highly recommended on various online forums as her product variety is wide, quality is good and most importantly, her products are much cheaper than other stores.
