Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Hi abbytan,

I used Oops. Overall, quite satisfied with the service, especially they deliver to your door step. Unlike Daigou65, we will need to collect the goods at one of their pickup location chosen by you.

You can manage everything online, and they are quite responsive in email. They also have a local mobile number for enquiries, but not as responsive though.

Planning to go for 2nd round of purchase...got addicted after my 1st round of purchase with all goods delivered in good condition :good:

Very sharp eagle eye .....We are on the highest 13th floor, but the ceiling height is only different by ~10cm. I think the highest floor of the older flats were ~20cm taller.

We decided to take the highest floor so we won't see the drainage/water pipes running down from the flat unit above. But we are taking the risk of lower water pressure as many have feedback in the forums.

Some of the defects that we reported to BSC on 15/9. All have been rectified as we inspected yesterday except the uneven mosaic tiles in both bathrooms. Talked to the BSC officer and inspected the uneven mosaic tiles together with their technician. Was assured that it will be done by Sat. So, going to make another inspection on Sun to make sure things are really done and no more delay.

To those who are planning for their reno and move in date, you may want factor in ~3 weeks for defects rectification by HDB. We wasted 2 weeks for them to rectify the defects at their slow pace with the reasons of tight schedule and always "in progress" status. Don't be surprise if you are asked to wait for another 2 weeks for them to screed the flooring

Inspected this evening after the HDB sub-contractor touch-up on the uneven mosaic tiles. The uneven tiles in the MBR bathroom look acceptable, but the uneven tiles in the common bathroom just moved from one area to another area :curse:Decided to KIV this defect for now and push for floor screeding and reno to start early next week.

Was told by the HDB officer that this is one of the most common problem in the new flats in Costa Ris....

2nd version of the 3D photos from my ID. Will make some changes in the color but probably no more 3D as it takes too long to get updated.....

Started floor screeding on 30/9 and 3rd round of common bathroom's uneven mosaic tiles rectification. But no luck....

HDB sub-contractor seemed to start late and got the MBR flooring done. No progress on the other 2 bedrooms. They also left the MBR windows wide open. Wonder if that was on purpose to let the cement dry or forgotten to close :dunno:

Gave up to let HDB sub-contractor to keep rectifying the uneven mosaic tiles while delaying all other reno works. Informed BSC to hold on the 4th round of rectification in order for us to start the floor screeding and reno works. Put this under KIV :bangwall:

Hopefully the electrical works on this coming Fri and Sat can progress smoothly.....

Didn't have much time to upload photos since I am here in Taiwan for oversea work assignment for a week. Leave the reno to ID and wife while getting updates from them through skype and emails. Ran into quite a lot of trouble mainly caused by the building structure where the kitchen flooring is higher than the living/bedrooms floor level. As per ID, the kitchen flooring will be higher than the living room flooring once overlaying the kitchen tiles. So, we have to raise the living room floor level slightly while not obstructing the bomb shelter's door. But will have to trim the main entrance door.....seems like the HDB construction quality really needs a 3rd party to watch over them :(

MBR aircon trunking box up....wonder if there will be any problem next time when servicing the aircon fan unit with such a limited space.

Aircon trunkings in MBR. Not a perfect routing but thoughtful and practical enough. Will discuss with ID to reroute the small drainage PVC.

BTW, an advice to home owners who will install their aircon in early reno phase. Make sure your aircon fan units are properly wrapped up during the reno works. Otherwise you will need to spend extra time to vacuum the dust out from the up-facing suction holes before you can use them.....a hard lesson learned :(

Woah! Yr kitchen looks like a runway! I love the lightings under the cabinets!

(Somehow ID drawings can be misleading. But that's their rice bowl)

ya...but that 'runway' costs a lot because we will need to pay for approx 57ft of top+bottom cabinets and quartz table top. Our ID brought us to visit his on-going project with the kitchen cabinets' downlight, and we really like it despite having to give up quite significant amount of storage space. But we eventually have to pass this design idea because we have cement base for our kitchen sink and stove, which have to be sit on the floor. Instead of 50%-50% different design of bottom cabinets, we go for the normal but more practical design :bleah:
