Hi,

I was discussing with my contractor,looking at the below pic.

Is this considered a 10 feet or 12 feet wardrobe ?

But isnt the storage just 10 feet ? Looking at the inner perimeter.

I cant understand why is this 12 feet ?

4+4+2 ( why plus 2 again as it is being replicated )

To put it simply, it is just 6 feet wardrobe placed perpendicularly to a 4 feet wardrobe.

Yes on paper it is 10 ft. But reality they charge 12 ft.

Same goes for solid surface, granite, L shape kitchen cabinet etc.

Because there is a certain pricing to it.

For example, a kitchen tall unit is around $300 per ft. We can also argue that we install a 'wardrobe' at 200+ per ft and convert it into a tall unit. But pricing will be different.

Ultimately is the carpenter call the shots.
