After moving in, I realized that my fridge is exposed to direct sunlight every morning... Immediately called up Alvin from Oscar curtains to come and take the measurement for dim out uv roller blinds to be installed last sat...

Workers came in today and did a clean and fast job... Super happy with this.

Renovation part 2

Thinking of doing up storage cabinets and desk for the study room...as can't find any thing in ikea that I like...

Can anyone share the cost per ft for study desk and cabinets?

Cute! But I had bad experience with decals - they might be difficult to remove if the glue used is very sticky..

Last week end before I move in... Tiring day waiting for all sorts of delivery ..

1) painter for bomb shelter

2) dining table and chairs

3) sofa and bed frame

4) curtain installation

5) windows man to check the window lock

6) hood service guy to check the hood...

7) Harvey Norman ( fridge and washer) and they did not come.!... ( they mixed up my order.. Well.. What is new ? )

8) Aircon man to extend the water pipe

9) plumber ( emergency as water pipe I kitchen leaked and I had wet cabinets! ) shocker !

Digital updates

Lock installed today.. Totally love the look.

A little hiccup..#whatisnew. The internal mortice that the guy brought was not correct... He had to get the sales to bring him another one... So the whole installation took 2.5 hrs.. He was here from 730pm to 10pm!

Hole drilled for the lock installation.

The installer guy is a prc.. ah wong... He takes pride in his work and does a good job. Thumbs up!

It is tough to share the cost as I am not sure how much per square ft.

I did blinds and curtains in a package with Alvin from Oscar Curtains and furnishing. You might want to go to them and ask for a quote? You can check out their facebook page.

I spent $2k pls in total for my curtains. i did not compare prices. But so far I am very satisfied with their services. Fast and good.

I got poisoned by a renotalker vicx1234 after seeing his post on the spenguin cushions and decided to order 2 online. My lovely frens gave them as a house warming gift for me.

The before reno pics... no need to tell me that the house is already very nice... i know.. cos 101 people already told me that....(even the Aircon man told me that) arghhh but then again... i don't really like modern theme and also hate maintenance of open concept kitchen ... so all have the go!

Gosh! I was thinking "Are you going to remove all of these?" when I read the first few posts.

When I saw the end product and went....wow! Its a total overhaul!

Hello diva79, yes I removed all except the false ceiling in the dining and the flooring for living rooms and service yard( which I regretted now) as the tiles looks quite dated now.. The original hdb beige ones ...
