Anyone knows if it is possible to engage a designer solely for designing the flat? I have contractor contacts with good discounts but they do not do designing.

Also, what is the average cost of an ID's fees?

Why not design the flat yourself since you have all the necessary contractor contacts and since you are the one living in it ?

TBH, there are 2 paths you can consider if you want to get a id.

1)Go meet a few different ID and see whose ideas you like best, get him/her to draft the 3d drawings and purchase it for your contractor. (Different id have different prices for the drawings, some would cost $100 - $500 per piece of 3d drawings, these are based on my personal experience).

2)Engage a freelance ID to propose design and help to coordinate with all your contractors contact. ( I was quoted by a freelance id in the range of 2000-3000 k just for the design and co-ordination services only.)

Lastly, i think since you have good contact for contractors, if you have the time, why not be your own ID ?
