Troublemaker 31 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 Don't you need to have a storeroom for those rarely used items e.g. luggauge?Maybe u can try out what Apple1's friend did by asking your helper to share the room with one of your kids (with the folding door concept)? Compass 3 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 Don't you need to have a storeroom for those rarely used items e.g. luggauge?Maybe u can try out what Apple1's friend did by asking your helper to share the room with one of your kids (with the folding door concept)?I plan to put the cabin size luggage at the top of the closets and leave the larger ones at my mum's place. They really will be rarely used now that everything has to go into renovation!
Songz 132 Report post Posted July 14, 2014 I think you can consider making the top part to be those window panel type which allow much better ventilation. As for the door, louvre type will also help to increase ventilation.Hope this help.
mellenur 11 Report post Posted July 14, 2014 Dutch doors!Hi Apple1 and Troublemaker!Thank you for your comments! Much appreciated and I'm going to go back to the drawing board with regards to that space. The original door I was going to make was going to look like this so that it can open at the top. I'm also looking into air curtains. These are the thoughts so far,Make the room largerDon't build a ceiling to floor closet.and leave the wall open at the topAircon will be shared between both spaces in the night and there'll also be a fan to circulate the cool airIf I use the air curtain, I can leave a bedroom door open at night when the a/c is on and the air curtain can help prevent hot air from coming in.
