I think most of the itemized item on your quote seems to be on the high side.

1)There seemed to some items that they double-charge you on the quote.

2)some of the item like general cleaning, does it mean chemical wash or just normal cleaning ? To be on the safe side, i guess you better talk it out with the ID on this.

3)I believe there are also several missing items in the quote. ( ie: electrical works, unless you are able to do it yourself.)

4)is there any 3d drawings ?

5)Any freebies or goodwill discount ?

6)and many many more..Some of the items seemed to be on the high side, i think it would be better if you could clarify with the renovator on what are the materials he used ?

Perhaps you shld collect more quotes and compare.

I think this is just the company marketing method.

Things to note.

1) They did not quote any carpentry works (usually they will make up high to cover the package)

2) what if you need longer length than what you needed ( what will be the price?)

3) The services and their workmanship

After briefly looking through ur quotation. I realised some of your items quoted is higher than mine. My advise to you is look for a couple more to compare the price. But cheapest doesn't mean is the best.

Hey,

I think your window grill pricing is ridiculous. It's just aluminum grilles and not invisible grills or anything. 1.8k for the whole house is WAY too much, see if they can deduct 500-800. Also for the bases with tiles, I have seen quotations at 110-120. 3 bases for 450 is a shocking amount.

"Supply & Install 1 fixed x 1 casement clear glass shower screen at MBR bathroom - $650" << How tall and wide is your shower screen? if it's higher than your head and all the way from wall to wall, the pricing is reasonable.

Overall, I think the ID is not honest about pricing, you may want to give them a miss. That's just IMO. Did you hire a large company?
