Hacking Of Service Yard For New Hdb Flat

hi!

I'm a new owner of a new hdb, and i've seen some blogs regarding hacking of service yards.

Just wondering if HDB approve this still? (or if any1 have been rejected by HDB)

What will be the cost of hacking? Make good?

To hack service yard, you need to engage PE. once PE endorses, you have to find a licensed HDB contractor to hack the wall. sometimes, HDB personnel will come up and take photos.

Funny thing is different ppls tell me different things. Some tell me PE is not needed coz is non load bearing?? Some tell me that PE is necessary.

So who is right?

Actually, it doesn't matter.

cos when the HDB reject the hacking due to PE requirement, then u just go and engage a PE and reapply.

if HDB doesn't require PE, then you don't need 1, thus saving the PE cost lor.

summary:

the PE is really not a huge matter

ah... icic. But my concern is how long will hdb take to approve. Mostly i read, PE is needed though.

depends on the HDB officer. but average is around 1 to 1.5 weeks on the day the contractor submit the HDB application that has the PE endorsement.

however, there are cases where the application can be expedited. one instance is the house owners call HDB officer and demand it to be speed up.
