CrimsonX 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Hi Chilarvet, just curious, under plumbing, item 1 (supply & lay conceal piping for kitchen sink)isn't your new BTO flat already concealed the plumbing piping ?what the HDB permit handling fee for.personally think that your quote is on the high side. It's just my 2 centscheerHDB will only run the water piping and drainage to a certain location. the plumber has got to extend the piping and drainage to wherever you decide to run your kitchen sink.i din see a HDB permit handling fee. but most IDs will be willing to pay the $20+ out of their pockets if you sign the contract with them. And since its a new flat, no requirement for HDB permit anyways, unless doing hacking works.but personally, i feel its unfair to judge people's quotation based on Length and square area alone.Just like buying a car, both are Toyota Altis for eg, but maybe one is premium spec got bodykit, leather seats, DVD player thrown in. naturally premium more exp, but both also Altis mah.Just ensure when you compare apple to apple pricing, make sure both are giving identical products.Just sharing my tots to everyone who is doing their reno, dun be shortchanged on design if pricing dun differ too much. I see.. yes mine does not invovle hacking so no need HDB permit fees and my sink might be further away from the original site too.Thats true CrimsonX, I'm comparing specs with other IDs based on the same products quoted. But some other IDs quoted me like half of the above, and already reach $20k.
