When For Id? Which Id?

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I'll be getting my 4rm BTO in 4Q this year.

Would like some advice when to start looking for ID and engaging them into discussion for design ideas etc.

If now is possible, will they accept informal floor plan? The one given by HDB to use when we're choosing units.

Or should I wait for the official blueprints?

I have a few ID in mind:

FSI

JQ Ong

Ve gas

Rezt & Relax

Omus

Are they okay? in terms of pricing, design skills and work ethic etc?

Or it's better to get 3D prints from them and engage a contractor to do the work?

Thanks!

Hi,

I am getting my 4rm BTO at Anchorvale Harvest somewhere in 3rd quarter.

All will accept the floor plan from HDB and they will use it for their quotation.

Just make sure that none have hidden costs.

Check whether they charge you haulage fees, electrician costs, etc.

I was charged between $200 to $800 for the haulage fees depending on ID.

In fact, what I learn is that if you have minimum renovation, the haulage fees are quite low.

You can pay directly to the HDB site office instead to the ID.

Lightings and accessories are not included in my quotation.

Some ID requests for 10% downpayment before they proceed to do the 3D. Only one requests $500.

This is my personal preference.

I will only pay downpayment upon receiving keys and have the ID or contractor to confirm the area.

I just want to minimise any forms of disputes or misunderstanding.

I did not approach any of the ID mentioned above so no comment.

I have not-so-good feelings with two of the ID who I approach.

Happy researching.

Yes I agree with Jchin1228. HDB alws has 1 appointed to all new bto projects & the cost is much cheaper. Im also another Anchorvale Harvest resident for a 3rm bto flat.

I've visted 2 IDs so far & feels like there is some hidden costs involved though they keep saying I can add in for free.

For eg;

1st ID,

I was told that if we opt for normal homogenous tiles per sqft is abt $3.50 exclusive of workmanship/labelling/sand - inclusive would be $9plus they "recommended" us to get the EVORICH Herf flooring w/h also will be $9 all-in since only cement screeding required.

2nd ID:

Providing polished homogenous tiles c/w skirting per sqft is up to $3.50 w/o any additional charges.

Was taken back for a while after visiting this 2. Gonna visit a few more till we feel comfortable.

Take ur time to research first before committing.

Cheers.
