4ddd 18 Report post Posted May 8, 2014 yes, i did the wooden door for common toilet but i did a segregation between wet and dry area. Hope it will help to prevent the door from decaying and disintegration. BTW, my door frame is metal from HDB, not the wooden frame type you mentioned.Am installing glass door for the MBR toilet though.I had a wooden door for common toilet too. The corridor will look great when all the doors are closed.
lawda 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 yup, will blend in well and confuse visitor where the toiletI had a wooden door for common toilet too. The corridor will look great when all the doors are closed.
guojiawen 101 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 haha. my doors are all identical HDB ones too!looking for nice deco to hang on the toilet door so guests won't open wrong door..
lawda 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 actually all the houses are designed the same. The heater switch outside the toilet is a good indicator that behind this door is toilet. unless the visitors are private property dwellers or elderly who does not know hdb setup.haha. my doors are all identical HDB ones too!looking for nice deco to hang on the toilet door so guests won't open wrong door.. guojiawen 101 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 oh ya, forgot bout the heater indicator. maybe I -am just excited about the shopping for deco. lol.those who opted out HDB doors tend to put glass / pd doors for the toilet so as to avoid taking up space within the small space.. so confirm no confusion. Ks Toh 74 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Not sure if this is the practice but usually my wooden toilet doors differ from the room doors (also wooden) in that they have a frosted glass panel. This also helps to indicate whether the toilet is in use. Edited May 9, 2014 by kstoh
lawda 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 some people do, for me I want unity for my visual. If hdb keep to having toilet inside the kitchen, I will opt for a difference. Not sure if this is the practice but usually my wooden toilet doors differ from the room doors (also wooden) in that they have a frosted glass panel. This also helps to indicate whether the toilet is in use.
