Hi all.i just got my keys! Yay! Im looking for good trustable n honest id or contractor for my 4rm bto in tampines.

I intend to do

False ceiling with downlight for LV & masterbedroom

vinyl flooring for all rooms.

Kitchen cabinet 33ft top bottom both sides.overlay kitchen tiles

Built in wardrobe in MB

Feature wall in LV & MB

If i have extra budget then i will overlay tiles for my 2 toilets.

HI,

By now u would have finalised ur ID. But I am sharing my experience for those who might be looking for a renovation. I also recently received my key and now renovation is going on. I looked for renovation firms, actually I sent my request for quotation thru this and got reply from quite a few firms. Finally I signed with Sky Creations, the quotation was higher than others but I chose them for below reasons:

i) My current neighbour's house is done by them which was good

ii) Mr. Sky Tan the CEO of the firm served us, in these forum when I read about the IDs moving to other company and some cases of uncompleted works, so I dont want to get into such situations

iii) I visited their showroom in UBI, which was good

iv) The reviews I read about them was good

So far the renovation works are going fine, still 2 more weeks left. There was one misunderstanding regarding the haulage fee. I was asked to pay the haulage fee of 900, I was informed of it before signing, but I thought thats the usual charge for taking materials to the house and clearing debris. But from forum I later understood for clearing debri and uplifiting material the fee is usually less somewhere around 300, including sand it cost around 900. I thought the sand cost is part of tiling works. Later I paid the haulage fee.

I bought 5 Crestar Aircraft fans with lights from BL lights in balestier road. I enquired in few shops in balestiar road, Tampines and Sembawang and finally bought them as their price was bit cheaper.

I bought 2 707 Protek instant heaters via online from eStore. I looked only for this model as in the current home we are using this model for over 3 years without any issues. For this I visited only 2 shops and mostly enquired via online, only in eStore I found the price cheaper

I bought chandeliers and few lights(kitchen and toilet)from JB tampoi.
