Sell Furniture First Or Start Renovation First?

Recommended Posts

Hi!

We have completed 4 years in our 3-bed condo unit. For last few months we have tried to work with many different interior designers to re-design our place. But somehow there seems to be a jinx - one is not available, one is giving us really modern designs which we don't want, one understands our needs but has received some emergency notification to clear exam for certification etc.

So now we are thinking of taking renovation as our own project. We need to sell our sofa, TV console, dining table, chest, display shelf etc. And do bit by bit - work with specific service providers for each work item - like get a TV shelf, a platform, false ceiling etc.

So here is my question. We are in a dilemma whether we should sell our existing furniture first. Or we should start with the project work first. What if the furniture doesn't get sold in time? Or what if the furniture gets sold, but the renovation project work is not completed?

Anybody can share their experience?

Thank you so much in advance...

As you are redesigning your place, I will suggest you to go for everything new. In my opinion you should keep the important furniture like beds and remaining you should sell. As I am a pest controller, I will also suggest you to go for orange oil treatment for termite control when you will design new furniture in our place. I hope the info I have shared will be helpful to you. For more visit: http://stocktonca.pinnaclepest.com/
