deejavee 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 HI All,As I am also planning to carry out false ceiling install to my place for some 500 plus sqft, I am concern that firing of nails into the concrete ceiling may caused concealed electrical wiring to be cut and short circuit the house as a result. I checked with one contractor on who should bear the repair cost and he said the owner would. Shouldn't the contractor be experienced enough to use tools to detect hidden pipes or wiring? he replied they don't use such tools. What is more ridiculous is that they will not be responsible for the short circuit and owner should pay to rectify.I would like to consult experienced contractors and forumer for your advice on this matter before I engage any contractor on this. Please let me know if you have good contractor who is professional enough to avoid such potential problemsThanks,
