ongal 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 Hi I am new babie here. Juz curious to ask : how u all bring back the items from JB to Sg?Any tax charging when enter custom? You must have your own vehicle as they don't deliver to Singapore. Each person can bring in S$150 worth of items (GST tax free)Experienced shops will prepare the necessary invoice for you to submit to SG custom. Example: If you bought RM2000 worth of items today and you brought it back to SG today with a total of 4 person in the car. RM2000 = S$770 (based on S$1 = RM2.6)4 persons = S$150*4 = S$600 So you need to pay 7% GST for (S$770 - S$600)But don't worry as the shops will do the necessary to minimize the GST charges. aquanark 4 Report post Posted February 16, 2015 Remember to ask the shop sales/owner what to do if the items are faulty. Can you do one to one exchange or etc....
mederis 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2015 Be careful when the Malaysia shop owner says that can give you a fake invoice to avoid paying 7% Singapore GST. My friend got caught and end up had to pay a hefty sum. Either way I prefer getting lights from Singapore. Warranty covered and easy to find someone to fix your problem in future. belysa57 4 Report post Posted April 7, 2015 a year ago, during our JB trip, we have a bad experience with the shops. felt that they hard sell you alot and actually their Lightings are not very nice. however we got a lot of Stainless steel shelves for bathroom at quite a steal.I got my lamps during sale and they are nicer and cheap as well [very close to JB Price] but design and quality is better.try www.facebook.com/likelights

Global Lamp Recyclers 1 Report post Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) The lightings in JB are similar compared to our SG prices.Lastweek, we went over to JB's Tampoi to take a look and found out that the pricing is actually not that cheap. Moreover, they do an onsite testing and do not cover any warranty.Fans, however is a value buy over @ JB, as well as switches/sockets.
