san20sg 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 Basically I got 2 design issues, I don't know what to do with the master bedroom and the bay windows. The bedroom is so small and doesn't even have space for a wardrobe, so the bombshelter serves as its wardrobe. Then the living room is so small, I do not know where to put the dining table. So jialat.
san20sg 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 I got a quotation for decking of the planter box - $1000 excluding GST. Sounds like very ex when it is just a l-shape planter box? Prices are so crazy nowadays???
greglhc 30 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Hi and welcome to Renotalk. I recently renovated my one bedroom and definitely noticed a tendency for contractors and ID quote higher when compared to same scope of work for hdb. Also probably because condo is much stricter about contractors strictly keeping to 9-5 working hours on weekdays only. ie there's a "premium" to be paid for reno based on address. Best to take time to shop around based on your budget. Good luck!
Songz 132 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Welcome to RT.Think you should get those small table that can extend or fold into the wall like my friend's.But there are pros and cons and you will need to see which you prefer.
weezersg 5 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Nice....I like the balcony and the open view. Let me guess...Spottiwood residences?Currently I am staying at a studio, so space management is vital. Since space is limited, I just have to learn not to hoard things.Congrats on your new pad.

Contractors admit that, giving reasons (excuses?) like concealed pipes and wiring, non standard ceiling height.
