Survey done too. I have two children in primary school now, so the topic is quite applicable :)

Thank you!

Hi guojiawen,

Are you using Nippon matex paint to paint whole house? Matex is only white paint right? How much is that?

Thank you.

Hi there,

In the end Nippon matex will be used to paint the ceiling only. I will be using the Nippon Easy Wash and Odourless series "Snowflake" for the rest of the house.

It's $1100 for my 5 room BTO :)

Taobao Purchases

Before I purchased the 'love in first sight' chandelier from TB, I bought a robot vacuum cleaner for my parents place too. If they find it good, I will get a second piece for my own home. The vacuum will arrive in early May, will provide a review on it after they start using it!

The pics and price of my purchases below:

Chandelier at Dining Area - Got it at 279.50RMB with discount. Current price is 579rmb.

Ecovacs Robot Vacuum - Got it at 1099RMB

Will post the links if they are good when I do the reviews!

Robot vacuum ... New toy... Do you have a parking lot for it? You can start to name it too...

haha ya new toy! but I didn't really think through about where to park it. most likely hiding between my sofa and the window. coz I catered electrical sockets there 😊

Hi,

PM-ed you :)

Haha where got many temptations? I have just bought 2 items from TB so far!

My review for the vacuum may take slightly longer now due to unforeseen reasons.

But from fellow RT bloggers who have bought and used it, it seems pretty value for money. Works the same as the more expensive brands, able to program timing, will return to the charging dock after finishing vacuuming but judgement on obstacles wise maybe a little lacking - so will bang onto stuff once in a while. Oh, and it looks cute running around the house. For first time users, we may end up watching it just operate for the first time

Renovation Day 23 - 11 May

Painting of house all completed with the colour "Snowflakes". All the skirting (originally brown from HDB) are also painted white with glossy paint to match my door frames. Protection cardboards are also removed.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but I simply love the whiteness and simplicity of it all!

Next up

Window grills measurements were taken earlier and should be up soon

All renovation related items will be delivered this Wed and Thurs

Citygas installation coming up this Thursday

Carpentry measurements to be taken on Thursday when all the required items for renovation arrive

Next payment will be made on Thursday to start carpentry work

The renovation so far has been really smooth. Kudos to my ID!

Really can't wait to see the end product
