Do We Need To Apply Water Proofing On Walls Even In Toilet?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

My contractor is asking to apply a water proofing membrane to the walls of our toilets.

Is this a common practice? I've only heard of water proofing floors so i was wondering if it's necessary..

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

HDB's only requires waterproofing to be 150mm upturn on the walls from the floor slab.

But there are private developments with the requirement that it be up to 1800mm upturn on the walls.
